Gulf Shores – February 1 – March 1, 2021
We arrived at Gulf State Park in Gulf shores on February 1st. This is one of our favorite parks and we have stayed here several times. We generally visited for long weekends to see a concert at The Wharf, but have never stayed for a month. (No concerts this visit). Gulf Shores is a huge park with almost 500 RV sites and 28 miles of bike/multi use trails. During the month, we biked almost all of the trails. I have finally recovered from AIF (accident induced fear) from my bike accident last May when I wrecked and suffered a concussion, a broken arm and four broken ribs. In case you are wondering – there are absolutely no pictures of my black eye or my recovery.
Our site was on a dune lake and the view was awesome.
We were in Gulf Shores for Valentines Day and I made cupcakes (made with almond flour and stevia). To my surprise, they actually tasted very close to a normal cupcake with flour and real sugar, and they were healthier. I probably need a little practice with decorating. All and all, we had a nice Valentines Day.
We also did some site seeing while we were in Gulf Shores, but that is for the next post.
