“Crazy Train”

Hollywood, Florida – November 4 – November 8, 2020

We traveled though Florida during the pandemic for two reasons; to visit with Steve’s family in Hollywood, and then to have our RV serviced in Tampa. We were able to spend quite a bit of time with Steve’s parents and his brother (Al) and Al’s wife (Dawn). Our visits were mainly outdoors because of COVID. The weather was pretty cooperative. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family.

Steve made reservations at Topokeegee Yugnee (TY) park, which was a park close to his parent’s home and close to where he grew up. Apparently, his memories of the place were much better than the reality, mainly because he never camped there. The camping portion of the park was conveniently situated next to I-95 and the railroad tracks. Trains came by all day and most of the night. The only thing good I can say about the park was that our stay was shortened by one day because of a tropical storm that forced us to leave early for Tampa.

I have no idea why I did not take pictures, but next time we visit family, I will absolutely take loads of pictures.
