“Love is a Battlefield”

Chattanooga Tennessee, April 5 – April 11, 2021

Our first stop on our trek north was Chattanooga Tennessee. This stop was primarily about family. I visited my Aunt Ann, Aunt JoAnn, and my cousins – Todd(and his wife Diane), Jim, Joanie, Jerry, Jay and Jed. Todd and Diane made sure we did not get lonely and chauffeured us around town. We reminisced about summers at Grandma’s, Snipe hunting (Just in case you are wondering – snipes are real and I almost caught one when I was ten) and generally caught up on life. I really enjoyed visiting my family.

We spent one day at the Chickamauga Battlefield touring on our bikes. I visited when I was much much younger with my family. I still remember climbing and posing on the cannons for family pictures (I did not climb the cannons on this visit).

The battlefield park is enormous and has literally thousands of monuments and markers. We only saw a small percentage on our trip.

We happened upon some reenactors.

Steve and I went downtown a couple of times and had a beer at Chattanooga Brewing and lunch at a restaurant next to the Choo Choo. Steve and I had a great time in Chattanooga.
